New Year Resolutions

My resolution for 2011:
1. Have family trip to China
2. Travel to exotic place (Cambodia/Borobudur)
3. Participate in more voluntary work
4. Exercise at least 3 times a week.
5. Keep in contact with good old friends
6. Read more!

Travelled to Taiwan instead of China.. And it was a great trip!! Taiwanese are some much more friendly! Traveled to Borobudur too!! insightful trip, next up planning for Cambodia and Tibet! Exercise wise, I think I managed it quite well... Really not much time spent to do voluntary work... Think I need to adapt to working life first...

Here comes the New Year Resolution for 2012:

1. Travel to Cambodia/Tibet
2. Stay healthy
3. No parents' complain for disciplinary issues in class
4. Finish reading Tibet Code!
5. Finish doing the puzzle for sis & Zan
6. Enjoy life!

I just hope to enjoy life, and be healthy.. thats the most important thing.. really dun wish to go for the splenectomy as suggested by dr lui... though it may sound like a permanent solution instead of living on steriods for e rest of my life... but it may also have other complications... well just take a step at a time, and enjoy life and keep learning new stuff!!!

Yet another year passes by! Its been a great 2011, with a lot of changes for me... ended my years of education, joined the profession of teaching and became an official teacher. Tried travelling alone. Got new flat with Deary. Changed my status from being single to engaged towards the end of 2011. Got to know many great colleagues who became great friends, both from GDPS & WSPS. Travelled to many places in the year... its been a great and fruitful year, learnt a lot, grew up, became stronger, more persevered?

In this dragon year of 2012, hopefully things will be as good, if not better. ^_^

看见金色摩天轮里的沈君君，就让我想起几年前的我。当时我也曾经有过和她一样的想法。只不过我没有她那么果断，也没有那么消沉。医生给她的指示，是按时服药，看诊，并保持乐观，开朗的心情。但因为医生的一句，：”存活率在10年以上“，让她非常失望，对生命失去了信心。医生也说会影响身体的各个器官，导致她产生离开识贤的念头，不想拖累他。

似曾相识啊！

十年的存活率？

遗传性高？

只能希望剧情和现实相距甚远……

It's been so long since the last post.. officially a teacher and working adult now... just started sch holidays, but feels like there are endless work to do!!!

But I'm still very happy and contented, psychologically ... I am happy that I got a job, I got my family, I have time to do things I like, I got things/events to look forward to... though busy, but I can manage my time.. am really contented with this kind of lifestyle...

I think that career, love, family, and health are the 4 most important things in life .. and I am glad to say that I have all 4... although my recent medical review isn't that good, with a low platelet count of only 40. But I'm feeling perfectly OK, and I believe that with positive mindset, I can conquer over the antibodies! Therefore I constantly remind myself that I must not give up, perseverance is the way to go, and do not despair!! With this mindset, I see eeverything as an opportunity. With health at stake, all other minor problems/obstacles that I faced become so trivia that aren't worth mentioning....

To all my friends out there, please remember that no matter what problems you faced, think about the 4 most important in life, and perhaps you'll realise, that you're able to overcome all problems ...

为何我们总是要等到失去了，才懂得珍惜？

为何我们总是要发现问题后，才肯去补救？

为何我们不能未雨绸缪？

为何我们就是不能理解“预防胜于治疗”这个道理？

人，总是要在亲身经历了某些事件后，才懂得感恩，才懂得珍惜。

Am I really so busy to blog?? Comparing to my peers, I think that my workload is one of the lightest considering that I have floating timetable.. but just dun have the motivation to blog...

NIE investiture and Convocation are both over in July, and my family had our studio photoshoot too.. went for outdoor photo taking at esplanade with my family also... i bet papa and mama must be very happy and overjoyed that all 3 of us finally graduated! mama was telling me the day before our studio photoshoot that papa said he had been waiting for this day for 7 years since my sis graduated haha..

Celebrated 4 years anniversary with Deary last tue, just a simple dinner at changi sailing club after school... though simple, but both of us enjoyed the nice ambience, great food, and wonderful service... gave Deary a Cross pen with his name engraved on it, hope he'll use it, photo frame with our photos collage, and chocolate making class voucher.. received a white adidas watch from him as well as a famous amos cookie.. since orientation to convocation, we've been walking hand in hand for 4 years.. many wonderful experiences that we had together, and many many beautiful memories... and of cos, there are bound to be some unhappiness, but all these are part and parcel of a r/s, and i am glad that even after 4 years, our r/s is still goin strong...

Just went for a chocolate making class with Deary on Sun, learnt how to make simple chocolates... really easy.. maybe can consider doing a home-based chocolate business if i wanna change job hahha.. maybe can start training now then 4 years later will be able to start my own chocolate business? haha its ok to dream once in awhile i guessed =p

Anyway, just had a cousin's gathering on mon, as a farewell party for guanquan.. he'll be leaving soon on 22nd aug.. had lots of fun playing charade, pictureka, pictionary, rock the beat etc... so glad that we can still play till so crazy when most of us are alr working adults... hopefully we can continue to play hard in years to come... really enjoyable...

have been feeling lazy to exercise these days... yet i keep eating and eating... and it seems like i'm dropping quite alot of hair recently, could it be due to the new Azathioprine that i'm taking? haiz why is my body always having such strong resistance to new drugs? i guess its same as my personality of not wanting to change, and always like to stick with the old and traditional methods... read online about a TCM practitioner who seems to be quite well versed in this area, maybe shall go and have a try.... but think shall wait till after 22nd aug and see how it goes....

meanwhile, will just try to enjoy life, be stress free, and be happy!!!

A brand new start

Its been long since I last blogged... well, its the end of week 1 of term 3... sort of settled in to WSPS, got to know the kids better, feels more comfy in office, can chat more with fellow colleagues.. i'm sure it can get better than this..

anyway, for the june holidays, had a 11d10n grad trip, firstly to Macau and Hong Kong with Deary, Sis & Zan, for 6d5n, then go on to Hangzhou and Shanghai to meet Wanying and Sihui for 5d4n... First time taking the flight alone, waiting for them alone at the ulu international terminal of Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport... tried many things alone during this trip... like traveling around alone while in HK for few hours, and then taking flight alone to Hangzhou, den back alone from Shanghai to HZ back to SG.. really salute those who travels alone.. cos frankly speaking, I felt kind of unsecured when I'm walking on the streets alone and such... Haha.. but quite interesting though.. a wonderful experience that I doubt will happen again? unless i go for some further studies overseas? haha highly unlikely i guess...

anyway, on a side note, realised a point from the trip, that is, my interest is akin to the old people lol.. cos when i saw the nice scenery of west lake, i thought i could immerse myself there the whole day.. i simply love the nice and serene atmosphere there, away from all the hustle and bustle of the city (though just opp the west lake is their city area with shopping centres and stuff lol)... however SH and WY doesn't think likewise.. they got bored after awhile.. hmm i think that's understandable cos after I got back to SG, i did a simple survey by asking around, it seems that most ppl around our age will not mind goin to nice scenic areas to take photos and such, but say they will be bored after awhile and wun stay long.. but asking ppl of the older generation, like my dad and other older relatives, they say they prefer to go such scenic places and dun mind staying there long... am i old? hahah okies anyway, its just me, and i just like it, thats why i always suggest goin to China during year end family trips...

Back to work-related stuff, workload in WSPS really high, on friday evenings, i can see alot of teachers lugging bags of worksheets/workbooks home to mark... and most were saying their weekends are usually burnt by marking books... how sad.. and i got to go back to sch tmr for netball... 8-11am.. thought i could sleep in late, but haiz gotta wake up earlier than usual... but luckily its a long weekend, so can enjoy a little longer....

Happy 47th Monthsary to Deary!!! oh and did I mention that I've gotten a unit at Punggol Waterway Terraces 2? hahah 7th storey, facing the waterway... so happy... will be ready in 4 years' time... just nice to save up =) gotta go and sleep now, so that i can enjoy tmr to the fullest!!!

end of 10 weeks

10 weeks has past, and that marks the end of my journey as a trainee teacher. Received my posting results, got posted to white sands primary. Not sure if I am happy or sad about it. I am happy cos I think that a change in environment can give me a chance to learn more, and can try to be more fierce to the students the 1st day.. on the other hand, I am ad because all the teachers at Greendale are very nice and helpful. Within the dept, everyone gets along very well, and most importantly, I think the hod is very nice and she's also very good to me! Just hope that the new school will be the same, if not better ..

Its finally Week 9 of our 10 weeks Practicum... Cleared all obs, and my sup will be coming down on Thur to discuss about my grades with the SCM as well as my CTs... it seems that the p3 class is really difficult to manage.. even until now, its not easy to catch their attn.. tried riddles, qian bian wen da ti, stories, games but still not easy to make them quiet... haiz... heard from other teachers its becos they know that i'm a trainee teacher, so not scared of me... they say once i become a full-fledged teacher, they'll be afraid.. is it true? hopefully....

well anyway, shall try to enjoy these last 2 weeks in sch.. esp with the p2 kids... shall have more fun activities for them next week.. they're cute!

March holidays..

Its the much anticipated March holidays!! Went for a 2d1n trip to Batam with Deary on sunday, he actually meant for it to be my bday celebration in apr, but i told him that i dun think i'd want to go overseas during apr as we'll be very busy then.. so we went ahead to Turi Beach Resort, and it was very very nice! A nice place to rest and relax... very nice seaview, our room balcony faces the calm and serene sea, and there's hammock by the beach for us to enjoy... though its just a short trip, but we really enjoyed ourselves =)

Made good use of this one week break to meet up with friends...
Met up with the gals on tue, to riverboat... had fun taking photos with lomolomo.. nice food and great company makes the day =) hope we'll have more of such gatherings soon... On wed, meet up with Doris for dinner.. had a nice chat... hope we can meet up soon after she submits her fyp =)
Went for dinner with family ytd, nice food, and at night, we went to the new Punggol Promenade for a walk to the new lorong halus wetland reserve... great to have a stroll after dinner, esp with my beloved family ^_^

well, planned to meet up with nie gals today for lunch, but i woke up with red and painful eyes... doc say its bacteria infection, and might be infectious, so better not meet them... wat a waste, i organised this gathering afterall! haha nvm there's always a next time... shall take a good rest these few days, since my sore throat also haven't fully recover... but i still need to finish the assignment due on sun haha...

2 weeks into practicum

Its been 2 weeks since I started on my final Practicum, which means that I've completed 1/5 of it!! Well, its not easy to manage a class, I think I still have alot to learn... But I'm glad to say, that I'm very fortunate to meet 2 nice CTs... Although 1 of them is our HOD, she is very nice, and very friendly though busy...

Completed 2 formal observations, quite a relieve.. I just want to clear them asap =P but i guess i really need to work more on the classroom management.. hope it'll get better as the day goes... still have 8 more weeks with the kids... the p2 class is quite fun to teach at times, cos they like to respond and answer questions, problem is i need to devise a way to keep them quiet and get their attn when they're too excited... p3 class not as easy to manage, but am trying... hope the new grouping that my ct arranged will help =)

one more week, and it'll be the mar holidays! just wan to get a good rest, perhaps a short getaway to batam to relax... wishes to go cable ski, but dun think am going, dun wan to expose myself to too much of the sun... i need the rest hahah.. hoping that everything will be alright for the appt on thurs... just hope the lost of appetite n weight is the result of the change of lifestyle and working habits, and not due to other reasons.... hope that those rashes are really an allergy reaction, and not something that i do not wish for...

Time really flies, yesterday marks my last day as a student in NIE... 3.5years just passed like that... many wonderful memories, with lovely classmates and everything... guessed i'll miss many of them...

had planned to go ECP for cycling after lesson, but due to the rain, went to Tamp instead, and watched "Just Go with It"... its an awesome show!!! with my fav adam sandler acting, of cos it's nice! just came back from JB today, bought quite alot of stuff... but am sad that i can't get the pair of hush puppies shoes... hope i'll be able to find it in sg!! but i doubt so =( and i sort of regret not getting the donald duck soft toy... sad... but the bah kut teh and chicken was nice! as usual...

only edited 2 pics for my digital story this morn, and i feel bored, wonder how can i finish it in a week's time...

Great CNY!! Had lots of fun, playing Charade, pictionary, taboo, saboteur and other games.. and of cos gambled a bit and won some money hahah.. relatives came to my house yesterday, cooked quite alot, like brocolli with scallops, fried banana and sharks' fins.. while mum cooked other meat, fried rice, bee hoon, curry vege and pig stomach soup which many ppl liked! tau suan that mama cooked finished within half an hour! though busy, but was fun!

Last week of sch next week, many assignments due, many things to do, and Vday on mon! in the midst of preparing the presents =)

Approaching CNY

CNY is nearing! Looking forward, but at the same time, hope it wun come too fast! cos after CNY, it means many assignments are due, and I'll be going for my final practicum!

Anyway, had been having a bad and persisting cough for more than 2 weeks! visited the doctor 3 times, and he said its because my respiratory system is sensitive to the cold weather... really bad cough that deprived me of my sleep in the middle of the night, caused me to be eating plain porridge for the past week, caused me to stop exercising... can the cough please go away soon?? i really need to sleep well, to eat like normal, and to continue my exercise regime! somemore there's alot of CNY goodies at home now, tempting me to eat! esp my 4th aunt's home made pineapple tarts!!

i shall go and eat my cough syrup and hope my cough will go away soon.. its really getting better, thanks to all my friends who are concerned, and of cos Deary who cooked the cough tea for me...

anyway, stipend is in! shall go and sign up for the URun challenge =)

week 1 of last sem in NIE

its the end of week 1 for my last sem in NIE... only 5 more weeks to go, before I proceed to 10 weeks TP2 and then its graduation.. time really flies... it seems just yesterday that i went for moe interview, and the signing of contract, but i'm alr in year 4 last sem now.. only 3 days of lessons, but quite alot of work to do.. gotta change my mindset else i'll find it hard to survive the next 5 weeks! 以往上教学法课时我总是得过且过，并没有认真听讲。这回，两个科目都是教学法，如果我再抱着同样的心态，恐怕只是让自己这5周过得更痛苦。我应该抱着积极的态度，认为这些教学法有益于我的教学。

but seriously, i find it hard to listen attentively.. i just prefer other academic subjects.... anyway, cny is coming in 3 weeks time! just went to city plaza with wy yesterday to get some clothes, but din get much, cos not much money left lol! spent too much in China alr hahah..

强烈推荐《藏地密码》这部长篇小说。扣人心弦的情节，让人卷不离手。连我这个平时很少阅读的人都被深深吸引，可见其魅力之大。紧张刺激的探险之旅，同时也介绍了西藏的明媚景色，不禁让我向往到那里去。也许，这会是我新的旅游目标。虽然我知道，至少要等上个三五年或更久，才有可能踏上青藏高源。

今天刚征服了10公里的慢跑，时速比上回run for hope 还快了将近10分钟，尽管今天的路面较滑，而且我又刚病好，加上已经很久没运动了。因此有这样的成绩，我可是喜出望外。然而，我还在犹豫是否应该参加usports 的10公里加33层楼攀爬的挑战。不知我的脚是否负荷得起，因为今天跑完10公里后，左膝盖似乎隐隐作痛，希望明早起来就会没事。

再过一个月，便是农历新年了。感觉今年的新年来得特别早。也许是因为去年的考试迟结束，因此觉得圣诞和2010年转眼间就过了。即是期待新年的到来，又不希望它这么快降临。总是喜欢这种期待、盼望的感觉！

Happy 2011 to everyone! Its a brand new year, lets hope for the best in this new year!

Just got back from Chengdu last night, was a great trip, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the cold weather, the awesomely beautiful scenery, and the great company! the rest of the tour group as well as the tour guide played an important role too! esp the tour guide! he's really nice, the best tour guide from China that we've encountered! Overall, I think this is my best overseas trip so far, cos of the great scenery, i really loved them! and of cos, all thanks to my beloved family members to make it so fun!!! ^_^

My New year resolutions for the past year:

1. Treat parents to China -- Xi An (we went Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou instead, but its my sis treat haha)

2. GPA to achieve 4.0 (not that good, just hope i can maintain)

3. Learn to speak Cantonese - can only listen haha

4. To lose, or at least maintain my weight - accomplished!

5. Exercise at least 3 times a week - accomplished!

6. Take better care of my health - i think its getting better

7. Shower my loved ones with more love, care and concern - accomplished! but it'll never be enough!

8. Participate in water sports such as cable ski, snorkelling.. - accomplished!

had an awesome cycling trip with Deary, Alvin and his gf today at Pulau Ubin.... not as tiring as the previous trip i went with bro and sis, but it was great, as we managed to see Chek Jawa in low tide! Saw lots of crabs, mud skippers etc... after the cycling, went to Changi V hawker for dinner before heading home.... wat a great day!!

4 more days to China~~

Meet up with tjlib ppl last fri, ate at NYDC.. its the 1st time i ate there haha not too bad, i had the Barger Mash, which is a huge sausage.. really filling, but we still ordered desserts after that... i had the big o cheesecake, yummy! received a faceshop travel toiletries pack for gift exchange, really useful! can use for gym or travel! ^_^

Xmas gathering with the gals yesterday, dinner at Marche, salmon with oven potato, a change from my usual rosti...

JB tmr, dong zhi on wed, and movie day on thur, den flying off on fri le~ happy but likes this kind of lifestyle, hope fri dun come so fast, cos i really like this kind of feeling now, as in you're looking forward to something very very much...

Finally, all exams are over, no more exams in my life, unless i'm pursuing Masters... haha but i kind of like exams, as compared to assignments... well anyway, last paper was open book, and the questions are exactly the same as last year's paper! lol.. even so, i doubt its easy to get an A.. after the paper, went to Orchard and watch Doraemon the Movie!! a nice and meaningful movie, conveying the message of protecting the earth is everyone's responsibility.. not much time to shop around, cos the movie ended 8+... shall find another day to go there and shop again before flying off!!

In 7 days time, I'll be in China!! yeah will be seeing snow for the first time of my life!!! its really a White Christmas this year ^_^

meeting up with tjlib ppl tonight, sun with the gals... next week's prog are quite packed too! ubin cycing on mon, JB on tue, making tang yuan at home on wed and movie day on thurs! its gonna be an exciting, fulfilling, meaningful and enjoyable holidays!!! hope everyone else will enjoy too!! ~~

Had a day out with Deary yesterday... Met him at SK to go swim together, the pool was crowded even at 12 noon! cos its a sheltered pool, so wun be affected by the sun... i swam for 10laps while he swam 2o, before we went to try out the slide.. haha tried once just for the fun before going to bath... afterwhich we proceed to Nex at Serangoon... it was really crowded!!! we tried out the set lunch at Hot Tomatoes, quite value for money, with nice aglio olio pasta.. then we shopped around, everywhere is as crowded... den we sat down for cheesecake at starbucks, do abit of reading, abit of chatting... den at 5, queued up for the free drinks that starbucks is giving out, cos they have a collaboration with Salvation army, to give out free tall drink for any amount donated... so we tried the festive drinks, the peppermint mocha and the toffee nut, yummy!

after the drinks, shopped around, and i got a dress from cotton on =D then we searched for food to eat for dinner, and decided to try out the new ramen restaurant by Breadtalk co.... not too bad, but i still prefer the ramen by ajisen... met Nic and Sherwin also, shall meet up with them soon, missed Sherwin's nonsense lol...

exams in 4 days, but am still goin for cousin's bbq tmr haha.. and although there's still a paper on the 15th, my next week is alr full of events! tennis on tue, cycling at ubin on thur, badminton/gym on fri, universal studio on sat, voluntary work on sun... hahah! i just need more time to do things that are fulfilling!!!

Shall blog on this last day of school....

Went to SITEX with wy yesterday after sch, planning to get Canon Camera... it was thurs afternoon, first day of the IT fair, but it was so crowded! the huge EXPO carpark was full!! even the ulu carpark at the other end of the halls when usually it very empty, is almost full and has to queue for like 5-10 mins before getting in! can see that Singaporeans are really free, and rich lol... so after getting a parking lot, we walked to the fair... it wasn't as crowded as expected (luckily), it was just flooded with those sales person (teenagers mostly) handing out flyers... visited the various famous camera brands such as Casio, Nikon, Canon, Sony, then as I was contemplating to get the Canon Ixus 130, walked past Audio house that's shouting about the hourly promo... the camera is only $269, with a dual screen... so after trying out, decided to get it, with lots of free gifts... loved the new camera~just that it'll leave alot of fingerprints, cos its those glossy type lol...

lunch with nie gals today at JP New york new york, to celebrate Alison and Aisuan's birthdays in advance.... hope they liked their presents... above is one of the watches i got for aisuan... liked this photo very much...

went off to Orchard to meet Deary, and we watched Unstoppable... It was an exciting movie! after movie, we went to Tung Lok Seafood at Orchard Central for dinner... yummy crabbie!!!! slurps...

Nothing much to update for the past 2 weeks, much time was spent engaging in sports, and doing school work... one thing worth mentioning is our class outing to Chinese Garden on 11th Nov, to celebrate Shi Ting and Eunice's birthday! We had great fun... Ordered pizza, had frens who baked Green tea cake and nutella cup cakes.. I made some potato salad as well, and Xiaowei also made a different version of potato salad, both received good feedback... it was kind of a picnic session, with filming going on, and we also had games... while the others are busy filming, a few of us sat on the groundsheets, chatting and gossiping... it was a great get together session... wonder if this will happen again after we graduate...

had badminton, tennis, joggings over the past week, really enjoying this kind of life.. but seems like its not easy to maintain such a lifestyle... last sun went in to JB with family for brunch, and shopped at the Giant and Guardian there, then after coming back, slept in the afternoon before going for a jog in the evening to Hougang... I still do not have the determination to jog all the way to AMK... shall find a motivation for me to do so! wait till i conquered the 10km run for hope this sun, then maybe i'll have the confidence to run the 11km to AMK...

only 3.5 weeks of holidays in Dec, and 1 week will be spent in China.. i have many things that i want to do.. wanna go for a short trip to M'sia with the gals, wanna go Cable ski again... wanna have Christmas gatherings and gift exchange with diff groups of frens and cousins... but dun have the time!

First cable ski experience

Had my first ever cable ski experience at Batam yesterday, together with Deary, Gui Hao, Daren, Angeline, Justin, Jian Sheng and Jun Hong... we started off with knee board skiing, and my first attempt din travel far cos i just lose grip of the handle hahh.. after that is ok, managed to go for nearly 1 round.... tried for a few more times, before feeling the strain in my arms so we took a rest.... it was a wonderful experience!

tried doing the wake boarding, which is the one standing on the board... thats really difficult! only managed to balance properly during one of the attempts and travel around 5 metres.. i think thats the best achievement alr hahah! amongst all of us, only Justin managed to balance and travel quite a distance...

woke up this morning, and feel both of my hands aching! it was tiring, but really really fun and enjoyable... shall definitely go there again!

Cable ski on Sat!! so looking forward to it! though i think its going to be quite difficult haha but i'm sure its going to be a great experience =) still haven got a chance to run for 10km... but have signed up for Run for Hope in end nov.. so hopefully i'll get a chance to run 10km before the actual run.. perhaps can take the park connector from punggol park to amk... motivation will be Koi bubble tea? lol..

anyway, went for lunch with nie gals at Pepperoni Pizzeria yesterday to celebrate Joyce's bday... nice pizza! the 21in pizza is really huge! enjoyed ourselves and had a filling lunch, at only $11 each haha.. went to tamp with wy after that, wanted to go Mitju to look at the pair of heels i saw at vivo the other day... but its not selling at the tamp 1 outlet.. so sad... bought a pair of slippers though...

looking forward to dinner tonight at a special place.. deary din know where are we going yet haha... hopefully it'll be a nice experience =)

人生不如意之事，十常八九。近日来，觉得家里发生许多不愉快的事件。先是四姨的胰脏长了瘤需要动手术切除，然后得知住在马来西亚的姨婆过世了，享年99岁。虽然只和姨婆见过一两次面，但还是不免有些难过。妈妈与姨妈、舅舅们今早回马来西亚的家乡吊丧，恰巧今天爸爸又生病了；上星期也得知哥哥和女朋友分手，我似乎也出现了一些药物敏感的症状，感觉上就是坏事连连。希望一切会尽快过去。星期天是哥哥的生日，希望有我们陪伴，他也能度过个愉快的生日！

雨后的晴天会更加美丽。还是那句话——生命是一个过程，让我们学习并累积经验！

世事的无奈，并不是常人能解决的，只能虚心接受。很感动，因为身边有着关心我的朋友；很开心，因为时间并没有冲但彼此之间的情谊。然而，总觉得万般无奈。因为无论我如何努力、如何保持乐观态度、如何坚持不懈地相信一切会变得更好，似乎没有多大的作用。

Just caught this movie earlier on at PS, was a nice movie... some what better than what I expect, cos my sis told me its not very nice, and i tot it'll be some boring show like 十面埋伏.. anyway, i think the plot is good, and andy lau is still as good...

not too bad, i've been keeping up with my exercising regime for the past week, hopefully i can continue to exercise often =)

Congrats to my bro for getting a job! His first day today, hopefully everything went on well for him....

不公平的世界……

中四的时候，第一次接触到这个句子。那时候，觉得这句话说得很好，很真实，很贴切。6年后的今天，我也同样认为这句话非常符合人生。确实，世界是不公平的。完全地不公平。有人曾经对我说，我比世上很多人都来得幸福。确实，所有人都是如此。比上不足，比下有余，不就是这么来的吗？

想一想，也正是因为这些不公平，才让我体会到自己其实在某些方面是幸福的，是比他人好的。无论世界再怎么不公平，只要我们问心无愧，做该做的、值得做的、必须做的，那么又何须去理会这种种的不公平？因此我认为“打抱不平”是很不实际的，因为每一天，每一小时，每一分钟，每一秒钟，都发生着不公平的事件。如果真要“打抱不平”，岂不是的分身乏术？

积极看待人生，人生才会更美好！坚信阴天过后的晴天会是最美丽的！经历过了阴霾，下一次的阴天也就不再可怕了！我能够战胜一切的！

38th Month-sary

It was our 38th Month-sary on the Pink ribbon run day... after the run, deary had it planned that we go for chocolate fondue at Suntec... and after that was another surprise from him... Yup he booked a room at Marina Bay Sands! it was a great surprise i din really expected it! the room was nice, on the 37th floor, with a nice view of singapore's skyline and the esplanade and merlion park...

not to mention the great view from the sky park! it was awesome, i really enjoyed myself, despite the tiredness... must be the exposure to the sun... well all in all, thanks Deary for the wonderful surprise and celebration, love every bit of the time we spent together =D hope you like the wallet too =)

5km pink ribbon run

Just completed 5km pink ribbon run.. A min slower than my expected timing, but still ok :-) this event marks the first anniversary of deary and i joining all these charity runs.. In this one year, we participated in 6 runs:
5km pink ribbon charity walk (oct 2009)
6km run for water (apr 2010)
8km Urun (may 2010)
7.5km Run for Cancer (jul 2010)
6km Yellow Ribbon Prison run (sept 2010)
5km Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Run (oct 2010)

So far the maximum distance ran is 8km.. Will be trying out 10km for the nike human race on 24th of this month.. If the run is ok, will proceed to sign up for the Run For Hope event in nov, to support the cancer patients..

Yup so this is what i meant by the change i'm going to undertake. Shall embark on more of these healthy and meaningful activities. Will be helping others as well as challenging myself :-)

Mum's birthday just passed, and we had a dinner at Teochew restaurant in Bedok.. Food was nice! and Mid-autumn just passed also... had fun eating mooncakes, playing candles and lanterns with family+deary+bro's frens+ryan&russell.. sch life pretty boring.. haha cos i still in holiday mood, as in nothing much to do yet, so still quite relax...

Went JB the other day, and watched Wall Street.. had wanted to watch Piranha 3D, but only left with 9+pm de showtime.. so too bad, have to wait for SG to screen....

Wall Street was pretty nice, a little confusing at first, cos i'm not someone who's very familiar with all the financial stuff and stocks thingy... but as the show goes, i find it very meaningful... i like one of the quote in the movie: "Good day I'm OK, bad day I'm also OK, so please don't ask stupid questions."

hmmm.. what else to blog? yup went for a drinking session with GH, Angel and Darren(GH's fren) last sat... it was supposed to be a mid-autumn festival celebration with the gals, but XR got project meeting so we decide to cancel it and go GH's house... hahah and since Angel suggested going to this place called Overeasy at One Fullerton, we just go haha... well the 3 of us drank quite abit that night.... one bottle of white wine first, and they find it not satisfying enough, so we ordered another bottle of red wine... less than half way thru the red wine, i tink gh alr got tipsy... in the end angel and i finished most of it...

and after that we still got a complimentary bottle of champagne! wow i tink Angel also got drunk in the end... lucky i'm still sober hahha but if i continue drinking, i might get drunk also =p but i will control hhahah..

Went out to orchard today to collect the pink ribbon run race pack... as well as to catch the above movie.... was nice! Zhen zi dan is really very fit lol! then went hougang for dinner, and slowly walk home...

long time since last update... hmm after the malacca road trip, went for Changi Seaview chalet with family... last time my bro can get the SAF chalet, since he'd officially ORD alr... 4d3n there, had BBQ on the 1st night... 2nd day went Pulau Ubin with bro, sis and my deary.. had a great time cycling there, but quite tiring... went to walk at chek jawa also, but its high tide, so cant see much... after Ubin trip, went back for steamboat dinner... yummy! played Wii late into the night.. Raving rabbit 2 really tiring... sweat alot, and our arms are aching the next morn we wake up! din do much on thu, except to play Wii, and then a jog around changi in the evening before getting the famous nasi lemak from changi v hawker... its back home on fri, and replenish the lost sleep...

went for Yellow Ribbon Prison Run on Sun, only joined the fun run, so only 6km... its raining that morn, so at first i thought the run will be cancelled.. but once i reached the starting place, those running the 10km route alr started! many ppl are running despite the rain! therefore we do our warm-up, and also start the run.. my first time running in the rain... quite a nice experience, except that it slows down the speed cos of the slippery floors... yup in the end i took 47.20mins for the 6km... well its faster than the previous 6km run i took part in apr, but i think it can still be improved... went to expo for carrefour warehouse sale, but i din get anything... den we went tamp for lunch, and some shopping before heading home...

sch starts on mon, and although i hav no lessons, went to crash other lectures, so that i can decide whether or not to change my modules... yup after attending the classical chinese drama lecture, i think i'd change to this module.. shall give classical chinese fiction a miss, and attempt something new.. drama should be more interesting.. but it also means more things to learn, since its something that i never really study before.. first day of sch, went out for lunch with wanying at tamp.. at a nice vege restaurant for pasta...

watched Grown Ups on tue after lessons... a nice show which teaches us the values of family life.. i think sometimes being childish is nice hahha..

after yan lao shi's lesson, i admired him even more! he's really so knowledgeable! he doesnt need any books/slides and he can just remember everything from history to geog to religion to literally anything under the sun! this is one of the reasons i chose his lesson over the supposed-to-be-more-useful ICT lesson...

Jogged to Punggol park on wed since i got no lessons... after so many years of staying in Punggol, this is the first time I visited Punggol Park(though its in Hougang, not Punggol)... nice place to jog, shall go there more often =)

Since its still the 1st week of lessons, and we still have nothing much to do, Deary and I decided to go to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve... we first climbed up to the summit, which took us less than 1/2 an hour... after which, we started our walk to Macritchie Reservoir Park... its a long journey of 10.9km... plus the parts that we sort of lost our way, I think we walked a total of 12km before reaching our destination, with a duration of 3.5 hours... nice workout hahah, but we enjoyed scenic views along the way, with monkeys popping out of nowhere along the way... but sad to say, when we reached Macritchie, the tree top walk has closed =( therefore i think we need to find another day to visit it...

Post-prac meeting on Hari Raya holiday.. early in the morning at 9am... quite a relaxed session, we just shared our thoughts on our practicum... my supervisior will be retiring this year, which means that i'll be getting a new sup for my TP2... so sad, cos this supervisor is very nice! hope i'll get another supervisor just as nice =p went out to meet gh and frens for minds cafe at night at boat quay, and we played from 9pm to 1+am.. it was fun, esp the bone-snatching game... had wanted to go for reverse bungee, but was too full after dinner lol..

had a relaxing weekend.. went compass point to get some stuff for white treasure, as well as to look for bday presents... shall be going for a jog later, wanna train for nike human race haha never tried 10km before... still contemplating if i should get the nike+ sports band.. cos i heard that it doesn't work well unless with a pair of nike+ sports shoes...

going to be an eventful week ahead, might be going for overnight cruise with mum and bro, and meeting up with jc frens, and sis's company family day, might be going to jb also hahah..

It has been a wonderful weekend!

It started with my brother's convocation on Fri.. Went to SIM early in the morn... His convo session starts at 10am, but we reached there around 8.30, cos if we go too late then there'll be no parking lots... while having breakfast, my cousin and her family came.. yup she's taking the same course as my bro hence they're graduating together... after which, they went into the auditorium, and then i stayed outside and wait for Deary, then we chatted until 11+... had the sumptuous buffet lunch provided, and took lots of photos...

after the photo-taking session, we set off to Malacca! This is the first time we're driving in to Malacca... we usually only went to JB... yup so we made our way thru Causeway, then into North South Highway, and exit correctly to Malacca! we did not lose the way lol... cos got GPS as well as maps that we printed out... but traffic was rather heavy in Malacca.... so we only reached our hotel around 6pm... We booked Hotel Equatorial, it is a really great hotel!!! we actually booked an extra bed, but after viewing the room, we cancelled the extra bed, cos the day bed is enough for me and my sis.. haha so 5 of us stayed in 1 room... after settling down and washed up, we went out, and walked slowly to Jonker Street, passing by the ship statue as well as the famous red church... was really crowded at Jonker street! we bought those snacks as we walked down the street, and we were quite full by the end of the street.. and we still had dinner reservation made at one of the teochew restaurant as recommended by my bro's fren.. so we walked slowly and make our way to the restaurant, and had our dinner.. it was really nice, the fish is really fresh! and the yam paste is great too!! after dinner, we walked to the Muslim street, and walked awhile before heading back to hotel... it was a great day =)

early sat morn, went for a swim with my mum... there's no one at the pool, so we can swim in anyway we want haha... after the swim, mum and dad went for breakfast, while my sis and i went for jacuzzi... after around half an hour of jacuzzi, we went back to bath before heading out for brunch and some shopping... so, toge with my bro and sis, we went to the shopping centre right beside our hotel, and ate A&W! yeah the curly fries and root beer float!!! yummy! then we shopped around, bought some clothes etc... then its back to the hotel to check out.. after checking out, we drove to Jonker street, to look at the afternn shops.. we had late lunch at the famous chicken rice ball shop.. its very crowded, but as review stated, SG chicken rice tastes much better hahha.. but it was a nice experience... after eating, we walked around a while before setting off and head back home... along the way, we decided to go to JB to have seafood dinner.. so we went to Taman garden to eat chilli crab before home...

it was a short trip, but it was nothing but fun! it feels really great to be able to travel with family =) really enjoyed ourselves, and certainly looking forward to the next road trip!

A day in JB

Went to JB with Deary yesterday... We had K-lunch over there from 10-1.30.... food was ok, but was nice to sing haha... after that, we went to catch the movie Salt.

It was a nice movie, one who loves action-packed movies will sure love it. The unexpected twists in the story is great too! But the ending seems to tell us to wait for Salt 2... anyway, it was so cheap to watch movie in JB, 2 tix cost only RM13! and we got the couple seats haha so really worth it... after movie, we walked around awhile, but din buy anything, cos i always go hahah..

We went to have our dinner at Nandos, a change from our usual Kim Gary lol.. the food was ok, well its famous for grilled chicken, and I thought the chicken tastes no different from the roast chicken that my parents always buy for prayers lol... Just that they have the special chilli sauce, but even the extra hot doesn't taste very hot to me lol.. but it was still a filling dinner, I can't even finish the sides.. I think I never even finish half of the portion of the side dishes lol...

All in all, it was an enjoyable day out...

Enjoying life during the holidays.. went for a 3 days 2 nights trip to Batam with Deary from 15-17th Aug... It was my anniversary present for him, haha so we stayed in a suite room (my first time staying in one), was really luxurious haha! did nothing much there, except to swim, walk around the resort, exploring the location of the villas... and we played scrabble many times, haven't played the game for a long long time.... overall, it was a relaxing trip =)

went to JB with mum and bro on wed, after accompanying my mum to her med appt... we ate at the Season's cafe at City square, its like Swensen's.. and they also had 1-for-1 lunch promotion over there.. So we had 2 main courses, namely fish and chips, and black pepper seafood pasta, for only RM20! thats like, around SGD8? hahah other than eating, we din do much there, since we always go...

had wanted to go and try the Jap dessert buffet at Bugis with Deary on Thurs, but on that morn just had no mood to eat buffet haha.. so after going to Megatax IT fair at Expo, we proceed to Peninsular S.C. to collect deary's free Manchester United jersey... then we walked around city hall area, and got an oldies CD compilation as his dad's bday present... we then walked to Bugis Iluma, in search for the new KOI bubble tea~ the queue was really long. haha but we still queued... first time trying the chocolate milk tea, its very sweet, but has a rich choco taste =)

meet up with wanying on fri, or rather, i visited her at her house.. then drove her to CGH for appt, and then drove her to my house for durian ahha.. fun day driving around...

Practicum ended last fri, with National day celebration... enjoyed myself singing those national days songs, doing the dance of the songs... after the 5 weeks, learnt alot... am now enjoying the 1-month long holiday before sch starts, thanks to YOG, else i would have already started sch... it seems like a grand event for SG, feeling abit regretful that I didn't sign up as a volunteer back then =(

anyway, have nothing much to blog about, just want to enjoy every moment of my life! looking forward to China trip to 九寨沟with my family on Christmas eve... will be very cold there, and it'll be snowing! will be my first time seeing snow, really excited hahha..

Its finally Friday!! and next week will be the last week of Practicum!!!

Lesson observation by supervisor was completed, though not fantastic, but was ok.. most importantly, its over!!! hahah at least i'm proud to say that i improved on the parts that my CT said wasn't very good during my first observation... well, of cos there are still rooms for improvement, i also tried my best... i didnt do any group work during observation, cos i just wan to be on the safe side.. hahah cos group work sure will be chaotic and i dun wan to risk on the classroom management section... will try out group work during the next CT observation which is nx tue... everything done alr, worksheets and resources prepared, only need to polish up on some parts of the lesson plan... okies the last week is goin to pass by fast and smooth! only 4 working days, since fri is national day celebration....

well, after tue, i'll be more free, cos have more lessons on tue, which is CME day, as well as my last observation for the prac... Just hope everything will go on smoothly!! and my runny nose and cough to go away quickly!!

shall go out and enjoy tmr, planning to watch Inception.. have heard many many good reviews about it... finally a day out with my deary tmr... cant wait for prac to be over, then we can resume our regular badminton and jogging sessions....

Busy and tired...

Its been around 2 weeks since I last blogged... well, am really quite busy, cos of the official opening, then after that busy with lesson plans... had 2 observations by ct alr, next up will be observation by ct cum supervisor on mon... hopefully everything turns out fine... just hope the students will give responses, but not too noisy...

since i started prac, haven got a chance to watch a movie.. so today, went to catch Despicable Me with Deary at Marina square... planned to watch it for quite long le, but always cant find time, cos we were both very tired and busy hahah, and the last time we met was like 2 weeks ago lol... and yes deary, of cos i miss you too hahha.. anyway, the movie is nice! the yellow little things were very cute! quite funny at some parts too... then we shopped around and got some clothes, everywhere is having sale! G2000 alr has sale, plus UOB cardholders another 20% off, so we got some clothes for teaching... then we had dinner at Esplanade Ichiban Boshi... we were lucky enough to get a seat near the window, so got to view the fireworks... =D after dinner we went up to roofgarden, and it was so crowded! it was the 1st time i saw the roof garden so crowded, haha cos everyone wants to see the spectacular fireworks i supposed... yeah we managed to catch some more of the fireworks before heading back home...

i'm having a cough now, plus abit of flu.. hope it wun affect my observation on mon.. i just want it over and done with asap!!! 2 more weeks to go, hang on there everyone! we can do it!! we will all grow stronger after this lol! shall go and catch a sleep before finalising my ppt slides tmr...

Teaching in Greendale!

4 days in Greendale pri... a nice CT i have =) just that next fri is the school's Official Opening, hence alot of rehearsals and stuff going on... and of cos, us trainees are being 'appointed' to help out as well... okies so got to stay back till at least 8+ for a few days, cos the event is nearing... not to mention all the lesson plans that i got to do, and the ppt and worksheets to prepare... i can survive! although the p3 class i'm taking is quite rowdy, but i believe everything will be ok since my CT will be sitting at the back of the class... but there'll be 2 days when she'll be away! hopefully it'll be ok...

other than goin to school and coming back to sleep and doing lesson plans, din do anything else for the week... shall be going to the 1 day durian trip with my family tmr, have to wake up early though =( but shall enjoy myself before a hard week ahead!! All the best to everyone teaching!! we can get thru it ^_^

世界杯八强决赛的第一场：荷兰对垒巴西，所有人都看好巴西。我仍然坚持支持我喜爱的荷兰。虽然荷兰胜出了，成功晋级至半决赛，而我也赢了点钱，但我却不怎么开心。
也许是因为爸爸和哥哥都输了钱（他们投注巴西），所以我也不怎么高兴。
也许是因为今天发生的事，让我开心不起来。虽然我一直尽量保持乐观的心情，努力维持健康的生活，但为什么结果总是和我想要的不同？
有时候真的觉得很累…外在的东西都不欠缺，内心的快乐也能从家人、情人、朋友的身上得到，可是却少了最重要的那一部分……

last week of holiday

time really flies, its the last week of my holiday alr, before proceeding to teaching practice starting next tue. Posted to greendale pri, am quite lucky since its only less than 10mins walk from my house. Went for their meeting last week, seems like the principal's expectations quite high haha.

Back from Ho Chi Minh City

Back from a 4 days 3 nights trip to Ho Chi Minh City! It was more of a historical trip, as we mainly visited musuems, took photos with ancient buildings, and visiting the Cu Chi tunnel that's 'built' during the Vietnam war... It was an enriching trip, learnt more about Vietnam history, and experienced how cramp the Cu chi tunnel is! haha the 2nd day was most tiring, as we visited the war remnants museum and the Reunification palace, as well as the post office and the cathedral for photo taking... at night we walked down backpacker's street and we practically walked the whole day on day 2 hahah...

Met up with wy and group on day 3, to visit cu chi tunnel... it was very fun!! and most of us perspired alot until our shirts are wet! haha esp after crawling thru the tunnels... apart from cu chi tunnel, we din do much for the day, cos at night after dinner, we went Saigon riverside, but the view was disappointing.. the river was dirty.... and also cos its drizzling, we walked back to hotel soon after...

back at the hotel, spent time using the jacuzzi bathtub, feels really good hahha..

this morn after breakfast we proceed to airport, and then after getting our boarding passes we went to CT plaza opp the airport for last min shopping, and we bought instant noodles at the supermarket, cos both of us never realy buy anything during the trip...

Home sweet home!! reached home ard 5pm, had abit of bee hoon that my mum cooked, before catching a nap... woke up at 7.30 to watch Holland vs Japan... yeah my Holland won!!! so happy.. though Van Der Sar is no longer in the team, I'll still support the team!!! Though i dun think they'll be the champions, but I hope that they can at least make it to the semi-finals!

今天是端午节，对许多人来说，这没什么特别。顶多是吃几粒粽子罢了。确实，今时今日，还有多少人会记得端午节背后的含义？

前几天都在忙着包粽子，好多年没包了，刚开始包时，粽子很小，类似人家的红豆粽。慢慢地，就有进步了，最后的成果还算不错。当然也有包我前两年都有包的碱水粽（ki zhang）。很快就有准备出门，启程到越南——胡志明市了！好兴奋！

Hope that 4days 3 nights is enough to cover most places in HCM, might be giving Mekong Delta a miss, since most ppl say its not worth going, perhaps will visit the river during our next trip to Cambodia...

okies, since i'll be away, i shall wish Guihao a Happy 22nd Birthday in advance! Hope you'll have great fun on this special day with your special someone =)

Great Krabi Trip!

Just got back from a 4d3n trip to Krabi with deary, zan and sis.. it was a great trip! nice snorkelling experience! managed to see alot of corals, and even clown fish! saw sea urchin also... the corals are really nice, the best of phi phi island.. the first snorkelling trip to the chicken island, poda island and tub island was disappointing cos wave was very big and cant go to a few islands... nth much to see at chicken island and poda island also...

ate alot during the trip, enjoyed eating at the roadside stalls haha thats why i enjoy going free and easy trips, with ppl who likes to eat at roadside also, else wun have the chance to try hahah.. had great fun playing Pictureka with them at night also... and also trying out the different cocktails that's forever selling at 100baht, though they specify its only on sale during happy hours.. but seems that even way past the happy hours, we still get to enjoy the offer.. guessed they really need more customers cos too many places to drink le..

today went compass with mum, shopped around, bought some food for white treasure... went tuition, den go for a jog with bro... need to work out after eating so much during the trip lol..

meetign up with the gals on sat! haha long time no meet up with so many of them.. hope we'll have an enjoyable dinner toge =) wan to discuss bout cable ski and sunway lagoon trip with them!

Results are out! CGPA dropped by 0.05, hah but still quite ok, considering that i got B- for the 5AU teaching of chi CS as well as for song ci... happy that i got 1 A and 1 A- =)

had wanted to go JB today with the gals, but too bad, got to go collect the LCD TV brackets today, cos flying off on Sun alr then today last day of collection... hhaha nvm can go again other time... yup so tis morn went to have a game of badminton with deary before goin chinatown for lunch and collecting the brackets.. then we had Koi bubble tea! slurps!

looking forward to krabi trip! but will be sending wy off to viet tmr! hope their team will have fun over there as well as enriching ppl over there!

It really feels good to be having holidays!!! shall enjoy this last 2nd holiday of my life as a student... after graduation, will be busy alr... looking forward to krabi trip with deary, zan & sis, 6-9jun, and ho chi minh trip from 16-19jun, going with deary, and meeting wy and her eco-venture grp over there...

shall sleep more and rest more these few days, then can hav fun in krabi!! haha

Great Hatyai trip!

Just came back from a 6d5n trip to Hatyai, Thailand.. Planned to go Bangkok, but due to the riots of the red shirts, we changed our destination to Hatyai.. now it seems very obvious that no one will go bkk during that period of time, but just a week ago when i was making the decision, i was feeling helpless and lost, its the first time i felt so, and the first time that i really thought of giving up, cos i thought i was walking alone all the while and did not see any support from him.....

did not have time to think so much, cos we changed the trip to the next day, and so we just go ahead.. so actually the 1st day of the trip was quite bad... as in i did not really enjoy myself.. a few reasons for that... 1st is becos i still felt very disappointed, and 2ndly is i cant really get used to their style of living and such... no time to shop, no mood to shop, feels that everything is unbearable =(

the next few days got better, maybe cos i sort of got used, and told myself to dun care and bother so much, be more easy going and maybe sacrifice a little here and there... yup and the snorkelling trip was fun! first time snorkelling, it was a great experience, the fishes were really pretty and close! and not forgetting the corals too!! food there are really spicy, enjoyed them..

overall, this trip is rather enriching, learnt quite alot... though not fantastically fun, but enjoyed myself too! but would just like to say that once been hurt, the scar will always remain, although it may seemed as though its been healed... any further damage might just collapse everything..........

went for my 8km urun on sunday, and am proud to say that i completed it in 59mins:-) great achievement i would say, considering i took 50mins for my 6km run for water haha ok i wish to take part in more of such events:-)

Now still the same prob, still not sure if i should go bangkok.. Well but glad to say, i'm really touched and happy when i hear my frens saying they'll be worried for me if i'm really going, and asked me to take good care and be really careful if i'm really going.. Nice words to hear, although i dun wish for others to worry too much for me haha but am glad that i'm still in their minds:-)

Was busy for the week, had many events lined up!

On 1st May, went Bukit Timah for trekking with wanying, kanghua, shiting, oer and kenneth... funny enough, we showed up in red, yellow and green, 2 of each color... hahha great combi..

bangkok trip 15th to 20th may confirmed!!! cos of the red shirt protesters, had actually thought i'd to forgo the trip, which brought about quite alot of unhappiness... luckily now everything is ok and we can proceed to the trip.... just hope that nothing like this will ever happen again, for both the situation over there as well ppl's reaction towards my decision...

just came back from jb, bought secret recipe cakes and aunty anne... hehe have been working out quite alot this week, jogging, badminton... yeah have to prepare for the 8km u-run this sun...

Yeah my exams are finally over~~ though only 2 papers this sem, but cos it spread over 1 week, ya so was quite tiring, plus many assignments due near exams and during exam period... nvm its over! 宋词today was ok, one question that i spotted came out!!! haha but dunno whether i can do well, everything quite brief... okies since its over shall not think about it anymore!

went off for a farm tour with wy after exams, wanted to go goat farm, but it closes at 4, ya so we went kranji d'farm instead... just walk around to relax lol... after that we went jurong point for dessert cos we think still abit early to go over to chihui and luanyin's bbq... hahha yup so went to their bbq at evening time, nice food! bbq-ed abit, quite fun... after that, wy, cp and me had an impromptu outing, went Rochester Park.. it was a nice place!!! excellent ambiance, and i had my favourite long island ice tea... well why do we suddenly want to go there? haha cos got ppl jio us go clubbing, den we not very interested and not in the right attire haha so we decide to go somewhere to chill out instead... guess where we go after Rochester? we went Mustafa! hahah my first visit there, really nice place lol cos they really sell everything!!! okies so after a night of nice food and drinks with great pals, am now home... shall sleep soon, going for a game of badminton tmr morn, followed by K-lunch!!! yeah looking forward ^_^

Finished first paper, still one more to go... Well, the first paper was ok, as in, we alr knew wat's going to come out before the paper, so ya, made all the necessary preparations hahha... then again, since everyone knows wats coming out and made all the preparations, it wun be able to score.. this is always the prob for our papers lol...

however for the next paper, i really have no idea wat n how to study... 90+ song ci to study... just hope i can finish studying hahha...

well, visited my cousin-in-law today at SGH, he's hospitalised due to a minor stroke... cos of the expand of a blood vessel behind his neck... seems serious, cos he can't eat or drink for the past few days, and needs to undergo physiotheraphy next week to learn how to walk, balancing etc.... it came so sudden, cos he's still so young... okies maybe not very young, but only 45, so the news still shocked us... somemore he owned an electrical appliances shop, and he did all the manual labour work like moving goods and stuff, so we thought he was quite fit... just that he smoked... really really hope that he can get well soon, his 2 children are still young....

once again, it showed that life is unpredictable.. reminds me of alot of things..... many unhappy things, but also created in me a sense of motivation, cos i'll remember those who helped me, who once stood by me, who consoled me, and gave me good advice etc...

Run for water!

Went for the Run for Water event this morning... was still unsure of whether i'm able to complete 6km, but I did! Am so happy that i managed to complete the run without stopping! hahha so happy =)

Finally finished all my assignments, getting ready to study for exams! hope everything goes on well...

but i can't forgo my fav tv shows... haha esp the new 9pm show with jeanette aw! nice story... and i think my whole family is addicted to tw long juan feng and ai.. to the extent tat we even used the ending song of the tw long juan feng as our ringtones! and now everyone other than my dad is using the same ringtone.. dun even know whose phone is ringing hahha...

okies, i wan to challenge a longer distance for the next race =) after exams, shall embark on running 'expeditions', wanna go macritchie, ecp, bedok reservoir... okies i better start studying first lol...

Watched liao zhai rocks with wanying last night.. All thanks to her asking me to watch such a 'horror' musical and met funny teacher that caused me to have a funny and horror dream lol..

school has ended, supposed to be revision week now, but still have several assignments not done.. 1 lesson plan, 1 reflection and 1 essay.. How am i going to start my revision for the papers that's starting next wed?
Many things to do, hopefully can finish all work by fri den can start revising..

Thank you to all my friends for the birthday wishes!!! Had a great weekend filled with events and really enjoyed myself!!!

Deary arranged a short stay at Kranji D'Farm resort, together with Zan and sis.. He even rented a car so that we can tour around the farms... So we went to Goat farm, and tried the goat milk... Also went to Qian Hu fish farm and tried the fish spa... it was ticklish! haha some of the fishes are quite big, around 15cm long! We also went to Farmart, but quite alot of shops are closed... But all in all, it was fun!!

Sat was Likoon cousin's wedding... the wedding dinner was held at Klapsons Hotel, a new hotel at Tanjong Pagar... a small cosy gathering of family and close friends.. helped out as receptionist, quite fun hahha... took alot of pics also hehe.. Food was nice, but service abit slow lol... drank quite a bit of red wine...

Sun went Pasir Ris, wanting to watch How to train a Dragon, but was a bit tired, so din watch cos am afraid that i'll fall asleep in the cinema lol.. so we went for a walk around pasir ris park instead... went to climb the space net again hahah.. dinner at bedok with family... had the nice curry fish head! very long never eat already yummies!

The above was taken yesterday at Orchard ION, after dinner we went to eat ice cream... had Jap teppanyaki at Ion for dinner, very nice and filling.. =)

Got this N82 as an early birthday present from parents and bro =) although its an quite an old model, but i think the function is quite good, comparable to E71.... has wifi, can read pdf and MSoffice stuff, and it has 5 mp camera! with xenon flash so the quality quite good =) just that the buttons are small, still not used to it yet...

finally, managed to finish 1 assignment today, yeah i spent like, almost half the day.. started doin after tuition and lunch.. not too bad haha.. happy! though there's still quite a no. of assignments to do.. hmm.. wondering if i should go and sleep or continue doing work, cos gotta wake up at 4.30 tmr to go tomb sweeping...

Seaview chalet was nice! really loved the serene environment there, can look at the sea from the bedroom.. its like some 世外桃源，makes me forget all the work.. not sure if bro got a chance to ballot again, cos he quitting soon.. will ask him to try and ballot for aug if possible, then i can stay there and relax before new sem starts...

on a side note, it seems that my cough still haven fully recover, can sense the difference in fitness level during gym yesterday haha.. hopefully it'll fully recover soon, dun wish for wat the doc say to be true.... just hope everything will be fine...

Finally, after 2 visits to the doctors, my sore throat is gone, but am still coughing away.. thanks for the well wishes from my frens... assignments are piling up, and i just made a to-do list for my work, realised that there're actually 7 assignments (including lesson plans, reflections, essays etc) to be done, deadline for most will be in 2 weeks time.. haha how am i goin to survive...

well it also means that in about 1 month's time, i'll finish my exams... hahah okies better not think so far ahead, shall work to finish my assignments first... but, bro got Seaview chalet at Changi again.. he said that this will most prob be the last time he'll be getting it, cos he's leaving RSAF later in the year.. yeah so we'll be goin over later today, most prob i'lll stay till thur.. but travelling from changi to boonlay is tiring! haha its from one end of the island to another... okies i got to do work now..

After few days of self-medication and resting at home, i'm still sick.... due to fever, had to skip lesson yesterday to go see doc.... in the end the doc gave the same medicine that i had at home... wasted my time and money... dunno how long is this cough and sore throat goin to last, still got presentation on fri and nx mon =( well no choice also, cos i dun really have time to eat the cough mixture, as it causes drowsiness, and i cant possibly eat it in the day right? got lessons and endless work to do.....

Am down with a sore throat, hopefully it'll recover soon, cos many assignments and projects due soon, no time for me to take a good rest..... It had been a tiring week with numerous project meetings and assignments... furthermore, got to know that my uncle passed away... quite sad, cos he's staying alone, and we were not informed of his death until half an hour before his cremation... so yesterday, on the 7th day of his death, we went to offer our prayers at bright hill... and its also yesterday then we knew that the cause of death is actually gastric cancer...

亲情应该是可贵的，但是堂伯的亲妹妹在他生前都不愿去探望他，就连他过世了也没有去拜祭。因为爸爸曾经过继给伯公，所以和堂伯手足情深，也经常帮助没有工作的他过日子。希望爸爸不要太难过。希望我们能够珍惜我们身边的亲人。金钱毕竟只是生不带来、死不带去的身外物，为什么要如此执著而忽略了更重要的东西呢？

Recess Week!

Its recess week alr! time really flies, it seems as if we just started school not long, and it's alr recess week, next week will be the 8th week alr! which means exams coming soon? hahha anyway, shall first enjoy my recess week..

After tuition on Sat, met deary and we went Serangoon North to look for hamsters.. didn't held high hopes of getting one at first cos i'd wanted to get a Blackbear again, and this breed is usually quite rare... Indeed, we didn't get to see any blackbears in all the shops there.. however, i saw this Pearl Winterwhite at Petmet which caught my eye immediately! its very small, the person say its around 1 mth but i think its smaller than that... hahha so i got this white hammie, while deary got himself a grey color winterwhite... then we went home happily with 2 new hamsters ^_^ after settling them into cages, we brought deary's 小灰侠back to his house while my 白宝sleeps in my house happily..

after we reached his house, shan shan is also at his place, and she's curious to see the hamster... after seeing that its grey in color, she say she doesn't like and walks away.. cos she has a white one at home.. so cute! anyway after dinner that day, she only wants me to hold her hand and we walked a long distance...even when her mum wants to hold her hands she also dun want! hhhaha she even asked when am i going to visit her again..

went cruise with mummy on mon, nth much, just walked around, observing ppl gamble hahha.. i noticed that gamblers always have big theories, as in they',ll always say until its very easy to win etc, but it doesn't seem like the case lol... after cruise we went white sands for KFC, yummies and bought some food for 白宝 before going home.. well, after reaching home, my mum accompanied me to the meet-the-ppl session with my mp haha first time visiting quite interesting.. next time shall go earlier cos they say the mp will say some words at the start of the session.. nice experience lol...

yesterday went ECP with deary for a mini picnic session.. he made burger for me, while i made some appetizer and dessert.. had planned to cycle, but in the end we took a walk instead, so we walked for around 3 hours? taking photos in between.. we drank the coconut drink at the hawker also ^_^ although the weather was quite hot and we perspired quite alot, but it was fun and enjoyable.. after that, we went over to shan shan's house in the evening, cos her house is just opp ecp, just beside the underpass from mac's.. she's very happy to see us! we played with her for 1 hour plus, she's really energetic hahha..

nth much today, went for breakfast with parents at bedok, then to 四马路temple.. walked around, go see see watch at bencoolen.. well, shall go and have a jog now...

Chinese New Year

Well, over the first few days of CNY, my parents quarreled, so whole family wasn't very happy.. luckily things got better since last weekend, so everything is ok now! my relatives even came our house last night! it was busy but i'm HAPPY! cooked few dishes, and helped out with the heating up of food and stuff, so no time to play saboteur with cousins...

we've been playing 'murderer' and 'saboteur' this CNY, and our forfeit will be to eat CNY goodies, ya becos everyone's house has alot of food to clear lol... i really enjoyed myself this weekend, hopefully my family can be always happy like this! ^_^

anyway, watched Alls well ends well 2010 today at PS, a funny show, better than the 72 tenants haha.. well i suddenly remembered that i've got to hand in a lesson plan on fri, so i better work on it now...

On CNY eve, had reunion dinner at home, ate steamboat, very sumptuous! After that we proceed to River Any Bao at marina area, they had some amusement rides this year, and it looks fun! but too bad both my bro and sis dun dare to play with me.. after looking at the decorations, we went home to count down... we played with those party poppers, and my sis sprayed those party sprays, cos she dun dare to play with the party poppers lol..

First day of CNY, waited for 3rd uncle to come our house before we go out... went cousin beng's house first before going 2nd uncle's house.. this year seems like everyone leaves quite early, think they are going to 'visit' the casino at Resorts world.. so all the cousins went to watch movie, 72 tenants of prosperity

Its not as funny as expected, but still quite ok.. its just a typical 贺岁片。

新的一年的开始，就做了一个好梦，为新的一年带来新的希望！

As usual, our family made popiah to prepare for CNY, so on wed night, we cut the popiah vege and cooked until 3+am in the morn... hahah..

Bro came back on tues! yeah finally after 3 weeks.. he got some clothes for us, as well as alot of food like chocolate, snacks etc...

Just came back from Chinatown, wow its very crowded! and we also went Giant, cos its open for 24 hours.. and we bought alot of those taiwan mochi at cheap price! okies gotta go and sleep soon, tmr have to help mum prepare food for reunion dinner!

am so happy that CNY is coming! Its the most enjoyable festival of the year!

Had tuition today, celebrated Priscilla's birthday, and gave her a little gift, glad that she likes it =) the egg mayo pizza is nice! haha okies anyway after tuition went home, wanting to sleep, but parents wan to go amk hub to exchange the toyogo box... the crowd was scary! it was so crowded in the ntuc that we had difficulties pushing the trolley around... anyway, chanced upon weiqiang, well i think this is not the first time we ran into each other while shopping, to the extent that my mum could even recognise him lol..

Just came back from Robinson's Warehouse sale at Singapore Expo... went to fetch sis then we started our shopping spree haha it was quite crowded, and from the time we went in (around 9pm), the queue for cashier is already very very long.. it's supposed to close at 10pm, but at 10pm, the queue is still very long, so we decided to continue shopping until the queue gets shorter hhah so we left the place around 10.30... hmm get bedsheets for the new year, and some snacks.. helped my mum to get a bolster also..

After that we waited for Deary as he's attending a wedding dinner at expo also.. yup then after dropping my sis at Tamp, i sent Deary home... Exchanged our Valentine's day gifts, and i got a nice black leather ipod touch case! yeah have been yearning to have 1 for very long alr thanks deary! hope u like the polo top from tommy hilfiger i got for you =) and of cos the nice nice frame i did haha..

drove home, and now i know why wanying always speed lol esp when there's not much cars on road... shall go and sleep soon...

Dizzy Spells

Wondering wats the cause of dizzy spells, and it came so sudden.. well hope it wun happen again, esp not when i'm driving lol.. okies that's why i haven't been driving for the past few days, cos still feel my visions blurring at times... hopefully its just due to the lack of rest, and nothing serious...

well, sat had to stay home all day cos of the sudden dizziness in the morn... sun went for Esther and Bryan's ROM at VillaBali.. well they had their solemnization there and invited close frens and relatives... but i'm not that close with them also hahah just went there with Deary.. afterthat sis came to fetch us to go ECP, and we had a little BBQ there, using our own pit... think she bought too much food, until we have to da-bao them home haha..

nothing much happened for the past week, lessons were boring *as usual*, shalll enjoy these 2 weeks before cny, and yeah, my bro is coming back next tues! abit weird without him around lol..

Nosignboard crabbie + Chinatown Lights up....

Went Central mall's Nosignboard restaurant for chilli crabbie with parents earlier on, before going to chinatown.. cos its the lights up today, and it was very crowded! haha it has become a tradition that my mum and me will always go ^_^

School was alright this week, finished off 1 presentation.. anyway its good to have a free day in the mid week, can catch a rest hehe.. but i spent it on packing up my room, clearing some old clothes, and donated them this morn in a punggol Go Green event...

I thought this will be a happy week, cos my medical appt turns out good, although its a long 2.5hrs wait.. but its worth it hahah cos condition is getting good =) and today went chinatown, immersed in cny atmosphere.. but somehow somethings still turn out not as good..

Well its ok, cos I realised that happiness is something that comes and goes easily... at least for ppl in today's society, when our expectations, wishes and wants are constantly increasing... we leave no time to reflect on our own actions, cos everyone wants and wishes to be happy... but perhaps, you're building your happiness on another person's suffering/unhappiness unknowingly??? from another perspective, are you willing to be unhappy just to let others be happy?

After 1 week of school.. Still in holiday mood... Although there's already work coming in -- lesson plan to be handed in next mon, and presentation on fri... okies but i already made plans for my weekend...

After tuition today, went Katong Shopping centre to meet Deary, Zan & my sis for KTV at TeoHeng... the session ended at 7, then we walked over to marine parade hawker for dinner... afterwhich we shopped around for awhile at Parkway Parade, and got some stuff from Cotton On...

Shall be going to sleep soon.. cos tmr still meeting them for mahjong and tennis... okies i should at least write up the lesson plan first right? haha shall ATTEMPT to do so...

hmm anyway, managed to collect the 9 doraemons, 3 more to go ^_^ but why isn't there pig? since it's supposed to be the 12 animals of zodiac.. how can pig be left out??

saw my bro's photos on fb, and it seems that he's enjoying himself, and the food looks ok, seems like he'll put on weight lol...

Wanted to have a rest over the weekend, but in the end went out with WY for half of Sat, roaming around hahah.. Then sunday went swimming at 5th aunt Seaview condo with Deary, before going for dinner at ECP Nosignboard restaurant with family, as farewell dinner for bro... the crab was great! and we all had very filling dinner...

School started on Mon, lessons was ok, teachers are quite interesting, but seems that i'm still in holiday mood =p went Safra Tamp for a swim after sch... today's lessons more boring, i nearly fell asleep during both lectures lol... and today wy and i were listening to cassette tapes on her car! lol its been so long since i listened to tape lol!

just had steamboat dinner at home, am bloating now.. later will be sending my bro off to airport... Bon voyage and hope he'll enjoy the trip! (which i doubt so, haha since he's going to a desert, and there's only 1 shopping mall which needs a 3 hours car ride from his dorm... )

Just got home after 3d2n Genting trip, it was very fun and enjoyable! Played in the theme park, thanks Deary for playing the mini roller coaster with me! ^_^ We tried playing archery also, was quite fun...

Hope Deary likes the watch I got for him, and the little surprises that I planned... Am feeling very tired now, cos we watched mid-night movies for both nights...

Watched Treasure Hunter for the 1st night, the show is only ok.. Both deary and I thought that the plot was abit weird.. I think it seems ridiculous that the highly skilled 沙漠飞鹰 who's protecting the treasures still exist in this time and age.. yup but there was some parts quite funny...

Old Dogs is much better compared to Treasure Hunter, perhaps cos it's a comedy, and I usually prefer comedies more.. Had great laughs...

Part of the bday surprise for Deary is this DAZZLE performance.. there's magic, dances, moving statue, shadows, and fast-dress changing.. Performance was superb, really enjoyed it!

All in all, it was a great 3d2n trip although i've been there many times, but glad that Deary enjoyed his first trip to Genting ^_^

Time really flies, its the 29th month we're together... Many things happened, many memories are created, both happy and unhappy, I guess it's normal as in any other relationships...

In this new year, just hope that promises can be kept, and no more(or lesser) disappointments...

--saw this quote on a fren's fb status... I guess sometimes we tend to take things for granted as time passes... hopefully we can all reflect often, and be thankful for everything that he/she does for you!

Are promises meant to be broken??? Please tell me how to believe in you again... All say and no action isn't making things work... it's not just about saying 'if i do this i can make u happy, i'll do it' and not doing it... if u say so too many times, and never do it, what for say it??

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!

May everyone be blessed with good health and happiness in 2010! Throw away all the unhappiness in 2009, and let's welcome the new year with a good start!

Went to meet my sis, bro and xiuli at Vivo city this afternoon for lunch.. We ate at Musselguys, and the food was quite ok.. cheap also, $7.80 for a set meal haha.. After that my sis and I shopped around awhile at Vivo, before we proceed to Orchard... We continued shopping before Deary came, and then sis went off to meet Zan... So I wanted to go use up the $5 Gelare voucher Ms Tan WY passed to me (2 days before it expires), and I walked from Taka to Far East plaza to eat... Upon reaching, then we found out that the outlet has closed down =(, so we took a bus to PS, hoping to use up the voucher (still very determined...) However, after reaching PS, we found out that the outlet close down too... What happened to all the Gelare outlets???? So we gave up and just walked around PS... In the end

we ate a ham and mushroom crepe, and a Tropicana from yammi yogurt, should be more healthy than Gelare i supposed...

We went back to Vivo for dinner, at the Japanese gourmet town.. I had Volcano ramen hahah nice while Deary had chicken soup curry... yummy food! After that we went for a walk, then to the movies!

Watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, the movie was cute and nice!! Really a heartwarming way to end 2009! After our movies, we went to vivo roofgarden for the countdown party by channel 8.. it was very crowded, but we managed to find a spot where we got a good view of the big projector screen hahha.. At 12, i sprayed the party spray that my sis gave me... well, it seems that all the ppl around me do not have the spray so they all looked puzzled and all turn back and look at me.. but who cares? hahah its the new year so just be happy!!!

Looking back at my 2009 resolutions:
1. Treat parents to China trip --> accomplished
2. Stop steroids --> still a long way to go i supposed =(
3. Exercise at least twice a week --> accomplished
4. GPA to increase to 3.75 --> accomplished ^_^ a great improvement!
5. Learn to cook more dishes --> accomplished, but really only a few more haha
6. Learn a little conversational cantonese --> hmm not really, i can only listen, can't really speak...
7. Participate in more volutary work --> sadly, i only did voluntary work twice in 2009
8. Spend more time with my loved ones --> it'll never be enough ^_^

Coming next is my 2010 new year resolutions:

1. Treat parents to China -- Xi An

2. GPA to achieve 4.0

3. Learn to speak Cantonese

4. To lose, or at least maintain my weight

5. Exercise at least 3 times a week

6. Take better care of my health

This is a wonderful Christmas!

On Christmas eve, went for a badminton game in the afternoon with Deary, before going home to change... In the evening, went over to his place first, and he opened his presents haha gave him a Tigger soft toy and a pair of Crocs... after that we went to his cousin's place for X'mas party,

basically just to eat lol.. got shampoo and notebook for gift exchange... after the party, we went Vivocity to watch movie! 2330 movie, so will be counting down in the cinema? Well of cos we didn't do so... was too engrossed in the movie...

Yup we watched Sherlock Holmes! A nice movie!

After movies, cabbed home and then i opened my present... Received a doraemon hp from Deary!

Went to Zoo on Christmas day with Deary, sis and Zan... it was a surprise planned by Zan for my sis, she was shocked to see us hahha.. It was very crowded! Didn't know that so many ppl will go zoo on holidays.. it was tiring but fun... walked around the whole zoo, spent alot of time looking the monkeys and such... my favourite is still the penguins! they have the south africa penguins there very small and cute, just like those in Madagascar the movie...

After zoo, we went 10dollar KTV at Chinatown, sang many songs and we were doing stupid things... It was a fun and fulfilling Christmas day!

Went for tuition today, wanted to give Nic his present, but my blur bro gave away the wrong present, and gave his fren Nic's present instead.. guess will have to give Nic his present nx year lol.. Anyway, really like the present Nic gave me, it was a small wind chime with a little book with inspirational quotes.. the wind chime is now hanging on my window... And also a bottle of red wine, shall save it for farewell party for my bro before he leaves for south africa hhaha...

Forgot to mention that my parents, together with my bro bought me a new cabinet to put my doraemon stuff as my Christmas present! Am so happy! Just finished assembling it, and placed my doraemon stuff inside hahah it's almost full lol... So happy! This is a great X'mas present, but of cos, my results is the best X'mas present for the year ^_^

Results are out! and i'm very happy with my results... did better than what i expect, and improved my CGPA by 0.09! Really glad that I got my first A in NIE hahah..

Well, met up with tjlib ppl yesterday at City Hall, then we went to play bowling at Marina Square, it's been long since I last bowled, so for the first game, did rather badly for 1st few rounds, luckily it got better after a while... Second game was better, managed to score 104, 20 more than 1st game hahah.. had a game of pool after that, wasn't good at it, just played cos the others wanted to do so...

After that we had dinner at Swensen's... Tried the new Chilli crab pasta, tastes good! nice sauce.. after that while waiting for Raf, Sihui and i shared a Banana Crumble... sinful but nice lol indulgence once in a while should be fine =p

Took train with them to Tamp, cos sis sending Zan back home and take something from his house.. and she's not confident to drive alone yet so asked me to meet her to be her passenger home lol.. reached home nearly at 12, so i faster eat the tang yuan, cos my mum say need to eat before the day ends...

Yup so that ends my happy day! Happy for my results, as well as all my frens who did well!

Went Bugis with parents on Sunday, walked around and went temple to pray... It was very crowded.. then we went Bedok, they had early dinner while i walked around first, waiting for Deary to meet me for dinner... we had curry chicken and yong tau hu at Bedok interchange there, yummy food.. after that, since its still early, we decided to walk to Tamp. Safra, cos we meet my sis and Zan for tennis from 8-10pm.. so we slowly walked, and pass by Bedok reservoir, and went to sit down and rest and chat awhile before continue walking... Tennis was great! the weather was cooling too so we enjoyed ourselves.. I think this game was better than the previous one, though we were all still not very good at it... It was home sweet home after the game...

Went to Haw Par Villa yesterday morning... Decided to go there cos last week when we were on our way to Kent Ridge Park, we saw that the bus will pass by Haw Par Villa, so we decided to pay it a visit... the last time(which is also the only time) i visited it was more than 15 years ago... was still in Kindergarden then... Frankly speaking, i can't really remember what was there, could only remember bits through the photos... A nice and interesting trip, went to see the 18 storeys of Hell, seeing what will ppl be punished for their evil deeds during life..

After that, we went Orchard to watch movie.. Watched Bodyguards and Assassins, quite a nice show i think.. after that we shopped around and walked to Dhoby Ghaut... got a few X'mas presents...

Just made Tang Yuan... later going to make some more food haha..

Stayed home whole day yesterday, packing my room, setting up Christmas tree, and placed all presents under the tree alr ^_^ most importantly, to think through carefully and make a decision.. and yup i've finally decided, though it may not be the best, but i believe i alr considered all aspects, and weighed the differences already..

After tuition today, went to eat the famous fried chicken with Nic... too bad its raining, else we'll walk to our destination.. so we ate the fried chicken, and he's saying that i purposely suggest eating this after our bet.. hhaha i'm not that scheming k i alr asked him bout this long ago =p and yeah we up the bet to a watch, hoping that he'll have greater motivation.. but it doesn't really seem to work, cos we had Carl's Junior for dinner lol.. though he ate the low carb veggie burger, its with lots of mayo! anyway, i got a few more doraemon stuff to add to my collection =)

Going to play tennis tomorrow, after a sinful day of eating unhealthy food today =p Results will be coming out soon, the date given is 24th Dec, but usually they'll release few days before the date given, so perhaps mon or tue.. am a little worried, cos of the 2 eng mod this sem, really afraid that they'll pull down my cgpa.. well worrying doesn't helps now, just hope that everything will be ok, cos I've already done my best!

Was talking to my mum yesterday, and then she told me that she's the type who'll do things that she thinks is the best and be happy, and not wait till the future.. i guess she's right, we can't always wait, we should do things that we deemed as correct, and never live with regrets... after seeing my aunt's condition, and some of my fren's situations plus the few incidents I've been through, I realised, that life is really really unpredictable, so always live everyday to the fullest, and follow your dreams.

Went SGH on tue, for review as well as to visit 3rd aunt.. she's hospitalised again, heard that her chemo treatment din went too well =( life isn't all smooth sailing..

Went to few of the national parks on wed.. we started from kent ridge park, walked through the canopy walk, then proceed to hort park.. the flowers in the glass house at Hort park was very nice! played awhile at the playground and rested haha cos it was very hot... yup then we continued walking, passing by Henderson waves, a very nice bridge that links to Telok Blangah hill... we then reached Mt Faber park, this is my first visit there lol really nice place, think it'll be even more nice at night.. i din even know that there's a merlion there! hahah took some photos, then just as we want to leave the park and continued with Marang trail(the trail that leads to Harbour front mrt), we saw a squirrel on a tree trunk! its so cute! all photos on facebook alr ^_^ it was a nice trip, though a little tiring cos we walked for nearly 4 hours, sweating alot.. reminds me of the trip to Bako national park in Kuching-Sarawak this Jun.. it was fun anyway, really enjoyed it!

Received a Christmas card from Doris, thanks gal! haha but i'm not tat strong as you described lol, i just try to make myself live life to the fullest so that i will not have any regrets in future ^_^

Its been an eventful week haha.. Met up for K-lunch with XR, WY and BY on tue, and then we went shopping in Tampines with WY fetching us hah..

Played badminton with Deary on thurs morn, before sending my Olympus camera in for servicing.. The camera cant withstand the cold weather in Shanghai I think, cos it jammed, and cant switch it on/off.. some pictures taken have lines across it as well, sad... anyway, the person recommended me to get the u Tough series, which is shock proof, weather proof and water proof, but its so ex! after the trade in of 20% still costs $470+.. so am still considering if i should get it.. After servicing my camera, went Bugis area to walk around... yeah sometimes shopping around alone is great haha can take my own sweet time looking at things.. went for facial with sis in the evening before heading home..

On fri, went into JB for their K-lunch... walked around, got some doraemon stuff and a top... then had Kim Gary for early dinner cos deary got tuition in the evening... yup i finally got to eat the hotplate haahh.. went causeway point and walk around, looking for my sis bday present, but cant find any... went compass point after that and met my bro while he have dinner and i have dessert cos i'm too full to eat..

Tuition at TM yesterday, had a bet with Nicholas, he's supposed to lose 4kg by 16Jan2010.. whoever loses the bet will buy a book for the other party.. Well i think this is one bet that i dun mind losing hhah... After tuition yesterday, went Orchard to meet deary, sis and zan.. cos sis signed up for spa package and she's bringing us to use the facilities.. haha its quite relaxing, but the treatments are so expensive! doubt i'll ever sign up lol since i dun like massage...

Went for a spontaneous outing with wanying, xinrou and shiting today... nice wy offered to pick us and drive us around to city hall/bugis area... and i finally got my tennis racket, bought Prince racket... Left earlier to play tennis at bedok... nice and fun game, though all of us dun really know how to play, but quite a nice workout.. aftertat we went 85 hawker to have bah chor mee, satay and hokkien prawn mee... nice food! lucky my bro is at bedok area so he can fetch me home hahaha...

shall go and sleep now, having an early christmas gathering cum gift exchange with the gals tmr... cos many of them going overseas soon..

Watched Couples Retreat at Orchard Cine yesterday, wanted to watch it cos the island is very nice, seems like a great getaway place haha...

Anyway, went to Orchard 313, i din even know its opened, just happened to pass by so went to take a look, and Uniqlo was having opening sale.. their jeans are selling at only 19.90! but i din get any cos for ladies its all skinny jeans, and i dun really like the colors.. deary got 2 jeans instead haha looks nice ^_^

we went orchard central for quizinos sandwich, tastes great! had wanted to eat but the past few times we went there we were too full to eat so finally satisfied our cravings yesterday haha.. shopped around orchard, and got a few christmas presents and a top for myself.. really happy day~~

Back from Shanghai!

Am back from 8days Shanghai trip! Went to Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi.. 杭州西湖的景色最为优美, 西唐水乡的风景也很迷人。参观了好几个古镇，都类似云南大理、丽江的古城，有小桥、流水、人家。到哪里购物当然也非常愉快，既能享受讨价还价的乐趣，又能买到价廉物美的东西^_^

由于天气寒冷，吃得也特别多，几乎每晚都吃宵夜。他们的路边摊档卖的烧烤、麻辣烫、炒面、炒饭、鸭血粉丝等都非常好吃。不过，我们住的酒店就不是特别好，都没有浴缸。还是上回到云南的酒店较好。买了好多小叮当的东西，我家的两个橱窗都没位子摆了，看来要再增添一个新的橱窗了。

As usual, since we went with tour group, went to alot of designated shopping areas, selling jade, pearl, silk, piqiu, chinese tea and chinese medicine.. waste of time, but no choice, all tour groups have this, luckily ours is a big group, so got alot of ppl buy and they wun target us haha..

Finally all exams are over! Would say that all 5 papers aren't difficult, but dunno if i'm able to score.. well, i did my best alr so no regrets! Shall go and enjoy my holidays in China!!

Will be flying off in 12hours time hhahah.. after arriving in Shanghai, will be taking coach to suzhou... looking forward to Suzhou and Hangzhou, cos of the saying 上有天堂，下有苏杭, and since 天堂 is something that seems so unreal, shall go visit 苏杭! shall go hangzhou xi hu to immerse myself in the writer's feelings lol.. “西湖亭看雪”, and it really came out during the exams! hah only one, you remember wat i told u the other time? (rgding teacher shake lol)

am so excitedd bout the trip ^_^

After paper yesterday, went out to watch '2012', and its a great movie!! would definitely recommend it! the effects were great and it was sure exciting! there's no moment that you'll feel bored though its a 2.5h movie..

okies have got nothing much to blog about, just that recently it seems that a few of my frens lost their loved ones, and got to know that my aunt contracted cancer.. so to everyone out there, lets enjoy every moment of life and cherish everyone around us... life is really unpredictable... for those who're still struggling for exams like me, work hard and play hard after that! ^_^

At Changi Seaview chalet with family again haha, although my exams are next week, but still going to spend 3d2nights here haha... had bbq earlier on, ate alot and had fun bbq-ing... well, i did manage to study a little in the afternoon.. or rather, just made some notes for my language acquisition... i guess i should start studying for amx or chinese history haha but i dunno how to start..

going to have steamboat dinner tmr, so got to drive my mum to bedok market in the morn to get some food... maybe i'll attempt to read up on amx in the afternoon hahah...

Attended Selina's 21st party last night, at Top of the M restaurant.. Its supposed to be a revolving restaurant, but its not revolving, think its due to the renovation works... Anyway, it happened to be the lighting up of Christmas lights at Orchard, so it was crowded... Had a great night with the gals, doing crazy stuff, with xr and gui-low posing and acting cute hahah..

Now i need to do work.... have to finish my essay by tonight den have to start studying!

Last day of school

Last day of school today... But this12days of 'holiday' before the start of exams, is for us to prepare for 5 modules... I think Chinese history alone is enough to kill, plus history of Chinese literature(the teacher even expects us to read additional materials), I wonder how I'm going to study LOL... But here I'm, at the new City Square mall at Farrer park, rotting at Mac's... Dunno why, but just don't feel like going home, don't want to face the stacks of notes LOL...

Back to the new shopping mall, it's rather big, but not all shops are opened yet... That's why it's not as crowded.. Cos I went bugis junction earlier on, and it's very very crowded over there. So I'd prefer it here more, the Mac has plenty of seats for me n not as rowdy, so I can read my papers in peace haha. Anyway, walked from bugis, passing by little India... Hmm to think of it, this is like only the third time I went little India, the previous 2 times were for project purposes... So today is actually the first time I went for leisure.. Eh not exactly so, I just walked past LOL

Somehow it seems that this sem is really hectic for many ppl, co alot of my frens are very stressed up over project deadlines and assignments, examms etc... for myself, i dun tink i'm tat stressed, but this sem is really a little more busy than before, perhaps cos the assignments and tests are spread thruout the sem... got back SG chinese assignment, though no grades given, but looking at his comments, i roughly know how i fare... I must say he's a great teacher, one of the better ones that i've met in nie.. he's the type who can really inspire ppl, this sort of reminds me of chenjiajun... haha anyway, all i can do now is to spend more time to prepare for exams.. but then again, its not the amount of info we gave, he cares more on our own opinions... so i've got to think of 'unique' views that he has never seen before lol.. hope i can fall back on my other modules to at least maintain my gpa...

Less than 1 month before Shanghai trip, but it seems so far away hahah and i dun wish for it to come so soon either.. cos i haven started studying for my exams yet! haven even finish all my assignmnets hahah.. shall go read up on the books on eunuch that i borrowed....

This week is more peaceful, in a sense, cos no assignments due, other than amx e-learning.. but its only 500 words so still not that bad... went out with Doris on Friday to celebrate her 21st birthday in advance.. haha not really celebrate la, just a lunch toge and we shopped at bugis street for 3 hours! hah i got a pair of shoes, a dress and a top.. she get quite alot of stuff too, so it was a fruitful shopping trip for both of us.. i think its a great de-stress method in the midst of all these assignment deadlines lol...

well, but i got to cancel all my tuitions on sat, cos am not feeling well.. sorry papa and mama to make you all so worried about my condition.. and also Deary who's been very worried also.. i will take good care, i promise, and keep myself happy and cheerful always.. cos i think being too troubled/stressed/depressed will worsen my condition... and thats why i got a flare, due to the sadness i'm suffering from the week before... too many issues at the same time, i didn handle them well, and caused my own health to suffer, and caused my parents to worry so much... haiz... i really hope they wun have to worry so much for me, although i know its impossible, but the only thing i can do is to keep myself healthy and not having any flares....

after eating more medicine, i tink i'm getting better... not tat tired easily... maybe i really shouldn't worry too much in future.. but its not my choice either, it just so happens tat too many unhappy things happen to me at one go, that makes me so vulnerable, that makes the anti-bodies 有机可乘…………

saw this nice pair of green new balance shoes.. been contemplating to get them, but i seldom wear this kind of shoes, cos its not meant for sports... and for normal walking i'd prefer to wear slippers/sandals.. but it looks really nice... been yearning to get a pair of nice green shoes since i never had one before haha..

Well, Lily and David came over for mahjong last night... erm they actually said they would come at 8plus, but in the end they reached at 12plus lol... and was watching so boliao youtube videos with deary while waiting for them.. so we played 1 round, and was 3plus alr, so they went home hahah.. not bad at least i got to win one game of 5tais hehe..

Hmm i guess everything turned out ok? hopefully we made the right decision, and won't regret haha.. Thx deary for everything, and hope u really wun change your mind again =p Welll i really enjoyed myself yesterday, though its only like lazing around doing work toge, playing games, watching videos, jogging and buy stuff hah but i really like the feeling =D

Anyway, went to visit 3rd aunt yesterday afternoon... cos last week no time to go hospital visit her.. quite sad, hopefully her condition will be good... hopefully the diagnosis will say that she's fine after operation.. when we visited her ytd, she was telling us about how she worked hard when she was young, hoping to retire by the age of 50 (cos she calculated and said that by the age of 50 she'd saved enough money to provide for the rest of her life)... however, illness came knocking on her door... all the money she worked hard to save for, became the medical fees.. haiz.. such is life, you'll never know what is upcoming and what it has in store for you... really hoping that she'll be fine...

the first step has been taken, hopefully it'll be a good one ^_^

This isn't a good week.. although am not as busy as last week, but am more troubled cos of 2 issues......

Long weekend ahead since no lessons on mon.. but doesn't have the 'holiday mood' cos i guess there's too much on my mind that everything else became of less importance... for the past 2 days, nothing gets registered in my brain during lessons, things doesn't taste the same as before.. seems that everything isn't the same again.. haiz but the problem isn't something that can be solved easily.... i dunno if i should place others before me or place myself before others.. i really dunno... why can't life be simpler??

This is my blog's 300th post!

Anyway, it has been a busy week, with the Language acquisition test and SG Chinese report due... well so have 50% of both modules have been submitted, hopefully they helped.. Actually I think the test was rather easy in the sense that the things are all in the notes, and as long as we studied, should be able to do it, but since its this case, being able to do well and score is another matter lol...

Not only is sch work busy, have some other problems too.. haiz.. not my own prob actually, but somehow it affected me, and its quite disturbing... maybe time really will 冲淡感情？usually couples wun be as loving or behave the same way when they're toge for long compared to when they just got toge... or is it becos ppl expect more as the r/s grows and hence will be more disappointed when things dun go the same way they expect? okies i'm confused now cos i dunno whose prob am i really describing.. sometimes i just hope that i can 'ignore' somethings and pretend that i din know about it...

Well, AMX essay due next wed, but i haven really started on it..... waiting for somebody to help me lol

和家人一起在家里享用晚餐后便到公园吃月饼、喝茶、玩蜡烛。

看起来像是美味可口的糕点对吧？其实是用蜡制成的！绿色那块是我做的。

Went for Pink Ribbon Walk this morning at ECP, ya its called a 'walk' so everybody is walking... but well, i sort of forced Deary to run the last half of the journey (2.5km) with me hahah so we did a slow jog... Was nice to run in the morning, cos i feel refreshed after that... Went Singpost for early lunch, since the event ended early around 10.. wanted to eat Suki sushi, but its not opened yet, so we went to the foodcourt... Went for tuition after that, and gave them the piglet biscuits haha hopefully they like it, cos i personally like it very much!

Went Costa sands chalet at Sentosa with Deary for our 26th monthsary... Walked around the nature trail, and realised that there's this Megazip thingy there, which is like some obs obstacle course! seems very fun and exciting! shall get more ppl to join us for that hahh there's even a flying fox from the mountain top to the siloso beach island..

Received the big dorayaki soft toy and the sand-made doraemon pic from deary.. haha he was wearing the reebok sports shirt that i got him, was a plot to get him to exercise more =p thanks Deary for the big dorayaki!

Recess week is coming to an end, but i have yet to start studying for Language Acquisition test on coming wed! Luckily the SG chinese essay is more or less done, left only some parts to edit.. Must start studying tomorrow!

Went Minds Cafe with NIE gals on Fri to celebrate Yanxin's 21st! Happy belated 21st birthday Yanxin! So honoured that you left your actual birthday for us to celebrate with you ^_^ Played the usual games like Ticket to Ride, Ugly Dolls, Pictureka (dunno if i spelled correctly) and also the dinosaur bone game.. think we really were engrossed in the bone game lol shall not elaborate here but its real fun! Went Orchard with Mum after that for dinner, as well as to collect my running tee for the Pink Ribbon Run/Walk that i signed up for... tried some mooncakes at Taka also, the traditional yam pastry mooncake taste delicious! my mum loves it too haha..

Had tuition as usual on Sat, Bronson's exams are nearing, so got to increase tuition to twice a week, but am not confident that it'll help much... anyway, gave him Children's day present- Spongebob pencil case and stationary set, glad that he liked it and he doesn't have them yet.. cos he likes spongebob alot, and also have a display cabinet full of spongebob stuff in his room.. hahah.. tuition at TM, as usual, Sherwin bragged about his 'nice' drawing... their exams are also coming, hopefully they'll do well, all the best to them!

After tuition, went Woodlands to meet up with Deary before going JB for Xiaoshan's 21st bday.. we shopped around for awhile at City Square before goign to her house... her house is really big lol, think its like the size of 3 semi-d in Sg lol... and the food was great! and the cakes and chocolates are all handmade.. Xiaoshan looks gorgeous too! haha hope she enjoyed herself...

This week is Recess week, but there seems to be endless things to do.. shall enjoy, as well as work hard! ^_^

Eventful long weekend

What a great weekend! Many exciting stuff happened over the long weekend! On friday, went for badminton as usual with Deary.. after that, went for facial before coming home... Upon reaching home, mum says she wants to go Orchard and see if there's any suitable clothes to buy for Huizhu's wedding... so we went Orchard, but in the end, my mum didn't get any clothes, but i got a short cardigan instead lol... had fried oyster for supper at the kopitiam style food stalls beside le meridian... it tastes great! just like the one that they had near somerset mrt years ago...

Went for tuition as usual on Sat, gave Nic his watch, glad he likes it ^_^ wanted to go cycling after tuition, but weather was not good, so after passing mooncakes to deary's mum, we proceed to watch movie instead... watched The Ugly Truth

It was a hilarious movie, and quite true in some of the things they say, that made people understand more about how the opposite sex thinks... had sushi at nihon mura also, finally satisfied my craving for spicy salmon sushi.. hahah.. went home late evening after movie, and did some manicure before sleeping...

Sunday, 20/09/2009 is the big day for my cousin Huizhu and Edwin! went over to her house at 6am, changed into the nice green dress hahah and soon after, the bridegroom arrived with his brothers.. think they got in too easily, cos of time constrain lol... went over to bridegroom's house for tea ceremony and stuff before coming back,.. though busy, was happy for the both of them... went back home around noon, and slept awhile in the afternoon, before preparing to go for the wedding dinner at hotel rendevous.. will not upload photos here since they're all on facebook...

Monday is Mum's birthday! treated her for dinner at hiang suar again.. hah wanted to try a new teochew restaurant at bedok 85, but didn't make reservations as we did not expect it to be so crowded.. hahah so in the end, ate at hiang suar again... but food was great, as usual hahha.. glad that mum loves the wallet that we got her ^_^
